French designer Pierre Yovanovitch is commissioned to curate the art gift shop within Villa Noailles —"an arts center in the provincial commune of Hyères." The creative opts in for a striking appearance that captures the visitor's attention through bright hues and their bold juxtaposition — from "salmon-pink and butter-yellow" to cobalt blue.
There is something inherently cubist in the method adopted by Pierre Yovanovitch in the completion of this project. This influence can be justified by the institution's garden which was "designed by Armenian architect Gabriel Guevrekian" and which exudes a similar cubist vibe through a geometrically heavy and color-infused aesthetic.
Without a doubt, Pierre Yovanovitch's take on the art gift shop makes for a striking and creatively elegant retail space that effortlessly extends the ethos of the entire institution.
