Back Pain-Focused VR Therapy

AppliedVR Gets FDA Approval for Chronic Back Pain VR Solution

AppliedVR, a healthcare technology company specializing in future-forward solutions, has recently received FDA approval for the EaseVRx, a VR therapy system designed specifically to help those suffering from chronic lower back pain.

EaseVRx received FDA approval after proving to be a successful pain management tool in several clinical studies. The VR device leverages cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) principles to help patients reduce their ongoing pain. In addition, the VR headset is designed for at-home self-use, making it a convenient method for patients looking to tackle their own pain without needing to book doctor's appointments.

More specifically, EaseVRx is an eight-week skills-based treatment that consists of 56 short VR sessions in which patients are trained to relieve the psychological symptoms associated with pain.
