Updated Tablet Keyboards

Apple QuickType Can Now Transform into a Trackpad

The portability of smartphones and tablets has virtually replaced the need of a more traditional computer for many, save a few minor details; one of these details has recently been addressed with an update to the Apple QuickType keyboard. Now when a person sets down two fingers on the keyboard portion of the screen, Apple QuickType turns into a trackpad for a more natural experience of controlling the device.

Announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), the Apple Quicktype update "also adds in functionality that gives users extra buttons for text formatting, as well as cut, copy, and paste. Users can click a button to go to the camera directly from the keyboard and add attachments, too," reports Tech Crunch. This refinement paves the way for tablets and similar devices to one day replace computers completely.
