Students who desire an interactive learning experience can now use the textbooks available from Apple iBooks 2, an upgrade to Apple’s existing iOS eReader app iBooks.
The Apple iBooks 2 app introduces educational and interactive textbooks, which will help the company gain attention from students as well as earn more money in its eReader category. The Apple iBooks 2 app offers fullscreen textbooks that let you engage with the content through finger taps and swipes. For example, you can search for terms, find definitions, zoom in on diagrams, review lessons, jump from chapter to chapter and much more.
According to Branding Magazine, textbooks from educational publishers like McGraw-Hill and Pearson will be available at Apple’s iBookstore, with most titles selling for $14.99 or less.
