Annie the Brave is a clothing brand that got its roots when a daughter asked for a dress with a scientist girl on it. Troubled by the fact that it seemed as though "little girls had to be either interested in science or interested in wearing a dress," Annie the Brave is now introducing itself to the world on Kickstarter with a series of whimsical, STEM-inspired dresses for young girls.

Rather than being printed with flowers, rainbows or unicorns, the brand's dresses are printed in themes like Little Scientist, Girl in Space and Under the Sea. Each of these designs helps girls to see themselves in other girls who love STEM pursuits, which helps to reinforce their love of STEM subjects.
