Innovative Waste-Reducing Chairs

Annabella Hevesi's Peach Easy Chair Boasts Innovative Joints

Annabella Hevesi has developed a chic and comfortable chair that also has a sustainable construction. The silhouette is versatile as it can be employed in both residential and commercial settings. Titled the 'Peach Easy Chair,' the piece features an innovative joint construction that Annabella Hevesi was testing out. The mechanical joint directly influences how the foam of the chair is shaped—the joint does not cut or cast the material. Instead, the foam was tufted with a new technique that the designer developed. This strategic design approach both reduces waste (which is common when you cut the material), as well as makes the manufacturing process more affordable (which is usually not the case when you cast the materials). The well-designed and waste-reducing Peach Easy Chair is available in white and grey colorways.
