Trendhunter has it's own beer. (almost) According to Anheuser Busch, their new beer BL Lime is aimed squarely at "trendsetters and aspirers." AB looked at the success of Miller Chill beer and is launching beer wars. Their research indicates that consumer demand for the lime and salt flavored, sweeter beer are off the charts.
Implications - Budweiser is a large beer producer that has had the same target market for a long period of time. Developing new alternatives to their traditional product allows them to grab new consumers and a whole new market. Manufacturers should start looking to create new subsidiaries of their brand that will attract the consumers' interests during a current period of time.
