Running a slimmed down version of the traditional Android OS, the Omate Wherecom S3 allows wearers to call for help, receive a call and even be reminded when it's medication time. Built-in GPS helps family members keep track of how a person is doing, where they're going and effectively locate them if they need a ride or become lost.
The number of elderly consumers is on the rise with the population of people over the age of 60 set to hit new highs in the coming decades. This notion is being considered by a variety of different brands as they look to develop products for an aging consumer base.
