UK-based company Analogue Solutions released the handcrafted Vostok2020 semi-modular pin matrix synthesizer. Sold since 2002, the unit is now the fourth production version available, which merges elements of the earlier versions to form a new and improved piece of hardware.
Vostok2020 is an all-analog, vertical desktop synthesizer, which has incorporated a unique modular matrix panel — similar to its Colossus synth — that allows users to patch new sounds together. The synth is housed in wood side paneling with an option for rack mounting, along with a moving coil signal meter that helps to accent its vintage look.
Some features of the synth include: a MIDI note sequencer, three VCO, sub Oscillators, ring modulation, two VC LFOs, multimode VCF, spring reverb, and a rear panel jack patch point.
Vostok2020 has begun production and is now available for £3,200 through Analogue Solutions' website.
