Spatial Computing Shopping Apps

'Alo Yoga' Debuted a New App for the Apple Vision Pro

'Alo Yoga,' the American athletic apparel retailer based in Los Angeles, recently announced a new spatial shopping application titled 'Alo Sanctuary' for the Apple Vision Pro. While the Alo Sanctuary name has previously been used for Alo Yoga's activations in the Metaverse, such as its Roblox world, the Apple Vision Pro app is separate from these, and is specifically designed to make shopping through VR easier.

Spatial computing is a rising trend amongst higher-income consumers in various age ranges, namely those from the Millenial and Gen Z age groups. In recent years, high-profile releases such as the Meta Quest 3 and, more recently, the Apple Vision Pro have skyrocketed adoption rates for spatial computing with the general population, leading to more viability for dedicated shopping apps for these platforms.

Alo Yoga capitalizes on this trend through its partnership with Obsess, a company specializing in spacial computing e-commerce applications which led to the Alo Sanctuary application. This application enables consumers to quickly browse through, and view, all of Alo Yoga's products in lifelike 3D renders interactable through VR, ensuring that customers know exactly what they are purchasing prior to doing so.
