Alessi Giardino is a playful set of gardening tools designed specifically for children. Alessi Giardino is the brainchild of Chris Armstrong, a designer attempting to get kids off of the couch and out into the backyard.

Alessi Giardino is both safe and whimsical, two traits every children's toy must have. The set consists of a shovel, sprinkler attachment and a pruner. Each item is shaped like something; the shovel is a snail, the pruner is a parrot and the sprinkler is a watermelon. Kids are always wanting to help their parents with whatever it is they're doing, yet parents often tell them they can't as the tools or machinery aren't made to be handled by children. Alessi Giardino would make playing in the garden safe for kids. Here's hoping the Armstrong's childish gardening set hits toy stores some time soon.
