Ishac Bertran presents the Alba Light sculpture which is a programmable lighting solution comprised of LED strips to create a custom look. Instead of offering users direct control of every single color and pattern, the Alba gives them a plethora of possibilities that are based on math.
Each time it is interacted with, the light will trigger algorithms that will then create new combinations. These evoke shifting gradient hues, shapes, and colors. This means that the ongoing changing landscape on the wall, shelf, or desk feels like an adventure. At the core of the Alba is an LED matrix that is based on a Pomoroni Interstate 75 board powered by custom Python code as an elegant and compact form.
