Sizable Cruis Parade Floats

Holland America Line Ran an Alaskan Theme at the Macy's Parade

Holland America Line participated in this year's 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time, and the company featured a float with an Alaskan theme.

The design sensibilities of the cruise operator's float were designed to visually represent elements of the wilderness experience it offers, including depictions of glaciers, local fauna, and a key lodge property. The display incorporated a large moving sculpture and was accompanied by a musical performance from "multi-platinum singer-songwriter Jewel, who performed 'You Were Meant For Me' during the television broadcast in front of Macy’s Herald Square flagship."

Holland America Line's narrative emphasized its long-standing historical presence in Alaskan tourism, spanning nearly eight decades, and highlighted a specific culinary program focused on the rapid sourcing and certification of sustainable local seafood.
