French boutique high-performance car manufacturer Genty Automobile has released details of the 2015 Akylone concept, a supercar concept for the ages.
This hyper car will be fitted with a 366 CID V8 twin turbo engine that will bust out an incredible 1,200 brake horsepower and enable the Akylone to simply fly from zero to 100 km/h in an astonishing 2.7 seconds. The vehicle's top speed is estimated at around 354 km/h, making it more than 'just' a supercar but a hypercar.
The Akylone's chassis will be constructed from a composite of aluminum and carbon fiber, which will make it extremely lightweight at around 1,100 kg.
Although the Akylone is currently purely a concept, Genty Automobile has employed a company to assess their project and look into whether it fits road use requirements.
