The airport transportation service at Toronto's Pearson International Airport just became more efficient and streamlined as popular ridesharing company Uber installs booking kiosks on-site. This entails that arrivals will no longer need to use their phone to request cars and can instead do so through a designated machine.
The Uber kiosks are oriented to boast an elevated user experience. The monitor requires individuals to input their information — including name, phone number, destination, and desired vehicle. Afterward, travelers are asked to pay with their credit card on the spot. This will especially be a game-changer for individuals who are not savvy with their phones or those who do not have the app installed.
This is a test-drive for streamlining one airport transportation service and the results — whether successful or not, will be proven in time.
