Samsung is bringing One UI 9 to the Galaxy S26 series, including the S26 FE, with features first seen on its foldables. The update includes My FanCam, which automatically crops video to follow a single person and outputs it in a preferred aspect ratio. It is aimed at slate-style smartphones seeking foldable-grade camera and interface tools.
One UI 9 adds Now Brief generative and editable cards for daily summaries, and Now Nudge, which pulls personal context from across the Galaxy ecosystem to offer helpful suggestions, such as inserting reservation details into messages. Interpreter gains a Thread View for revisiting translated conversations, and Conversation Mode translations are faster. Voice Recorder now produces summaries with headings and tables for clearer review.
Document Scan is tuned to capture curved book pages and folded corners with fewer manual tweaks. The update also includes Security Brief and Privacy Alerts and expands scam call detection to Japan, Canada, and India. These changes bring multitasking, translation, and security features to more Galaxy phones and streamline everyday tasks for users.
