The Forsyth County area of the state of North Carolina is launching an innovative new app that is designed to encourage citizens to take part in advance voting by making it easier for them to identify and take advantage of less crowded times to go out and cast their ballots.

This advance voting app makes use of new systems that enable election workers and volunteers to keep track of exactly how long it takes for people to go from the back of the line to their voting station. This information is then used to estimate the average amount of time a person would be expected to stand in line, and this information is then posted to the app so that users to keep track of voting times.

Advance voting is reputed to be a great way to even out balloting to get a larger segment of the populace to cast their ballot, and this app is a great example of intelligent leveraging of already-existing technologies to enhance the democratic performance.
