Programmable Truck Infotainment Interfaces

Chevrolet's 2027 Silverado Adds a Passenger Display

Chevrolet's 2027 Silverado refresh centers on a redesigned infotainment suite featuring a right-side area for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a left-side programmable zone that puts frequently used controls within easy reach. The package also includes an all-new passenger display, creating a multi-user cockpit experience designed to keep the driver focused while letting a passenger interact with navigation or media.

The interface lets drivers assign virtual buttons for things like traction control, off-road accessories and a garage door opener that can be geofenced to appear only when in range. A pull-down shortcut screen surfaces recently connected phones, privacy and mic settings, and quick toggles, while media and trailering data can appear as tiles across the cluster and center screens.

For drivers and passengers this means a more personalized, less distracting cabin that adapts to tasks like towing or off-roading. Expanded camera coverage, including two underbody cameras with cleaners and trailer-camera support, improves situational awareness and complements the converged, programmable display layout.
