OnePlus Markets that its Ace 2 Pro will be Fully Functional when Wet

The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is a flagship smartphone that is set to launch in China on August 16, 2023. It boasts a 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, and a 5000mAh battery with 150W fast charging support. Most notably, though, OnePlus demonstrated that the screen on the Ace 2 Pro will be functional when wet, showing prototype models being used and controlled smoothly, even in heavy downpour. The same video shows a competitors phone being unresponsive in the rain.
The device also features a circular camera module with a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro/depth sensor. The front-facing camera is a 16MP shooter. The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, NFC support, Wi-Fi 7 support, and Android 13 out of the box.
The pricing and availability of the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro are yet to be officially announced, but some rumors suggest that it will cost around CNY 4,999, or roughly $770 for the base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and CNY 5,999, or about $925, for the top-end model with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The device will be available in China from August 16, and it is unclear if it will launch in other markets as well. However, some speculations indicate that it might be rebranded as the OnePlus 11T in regions like India. The device will also have a limited edition pack based on the popular game Genshin Impact, featuring the character Paimon.
