These Reimagined Movie Posters Resemble Abstract Paintings

In an exercise of bold and precise brushstrokes, Mumbai-based illustrator Raj Khatri created a series of abstract paintings in the style of iconic movie posters.

While these film posters may be digitally rendered, the attention to detail in Khatri's abstract 'Minimalist Movie Posters I : Strokes & Colors' series brilliantly mimics the authentic look and texture of actual paint on canvas. Films like 'Kill Bill,' 'The Wolf of Wall Street' and several others all receive the abstract art treatment.

As the project's name would suggest, each painting embodies the essence of famous films, using just basic brushstrokes and color to convey these themes. By doing so, the artist is able to create original art that also cleverly pays tribute to its film inspiration.
