Glenmorangie is continuing its A Tale of... series with a limited-edition single malt dubbed A Tale of Spices. This new launch takes cues from the vibrant colors and aromas of global spice markets, and for the first time, the bourbon-aged Glenmorangie was finished in four different cask types: Moroccan red wine casks crafted from French oak, new charred oak, Pedro Ximinéz sherry, and shaved, toasted red wine casks. Each cask type added a unique layer of spiciness, sweetness and all-around complexity to A Tale of Spices.
Flavor-wise, this aromatic whisky boasts notes of warm, sweet spices like ginger, nutmeg, cumin and saffron, floral notes of rose and jasmine, plus a nutty-sweet touch of sugar-coated almonds and a distinct eucalyptus note.
