'The Splat' is a 90s cartoon channel that will feature old shows that the Millennial generation grew up on -- feeding the nostalgic appetite of a generation.
Iconic television network Nickelodeon has decided that it is bringing back nostalgic 90s cartoon programming through a new platform. The network will introduce The Splat -- a channel dedicated to the resurrection of favorite cartoon shows. These shows mark the most popular run of the network's history -- opening up the possibility that this resurgence in interest will lead to new viewers and bring back old ones.
The channel comes as a result of a high demand from consumers asking Nickelodeon to release its library of content containing classic cartoons. These cartoons include Ren and Stimpy, The Rugrats, Doug, Catdog, Rocket Power and arguably the greatest children's cartoon of all time, Hey Arnold.
