At its corporate headquarters in Irving, Texas, 7-Eleven is introducing a cashierless store for 7-Eleven employees that introduces a new ways for people to shop with ease. The 700-square-foot non-traditional store uses a combination of algorithms and predictive technology to identify individual customers and their purchases. The concept store itself is stocked with some of the most popular products sold at 7-Eleven, including items like snacks, drinks, groceries, over-the-counter drugs and non-food items.
For its cashierless store concept, 7-Eleven developed its own custom-built technology and is ultimately working towards creating seamless shopping experiences and faster transactions.
Once a 7-Eleven employee enters the cashierless store with an app, they only need to shop and exit, as their receipt appears in the application after they've made their exit.
