The 3X1 Denim/Ben Watts Skateboards are Flashy and Charitable

— April 8, 2012 — Art & Design
The limited edition 3x1 Denim/Ben Watts skateboards feature images of scantily clad ladies rocking the jean brand -- a design that many skaters will want to avoid tearing up with too many grinds.

Jessica Hart, Lake Bell, Elsa Hosk, Behati Prinsloo and Chanel Iman grace the bottom of the specially designed skate decks while the photographer's signature diamond and Hipstamatic lens borders cover the top.

Running at $100 a pop, or $400 for the full set of four, all the proceeds from the sale of the boards go to one of the charities selected by each individual model: either Food on Foot, Polaris Project, Goods for Good or Keep A Child Alive. There is also a denim bag available for purchase, with prices set to increase online soon.

3x1 Denim is located in New York City. With only one location, designer Scott Morrison aims to promote transparency in the production of the clothing and each piece is custom tailored for every customer that walks in the door.
Trend Themes
1. Limited Edition Skateboards - Custom designed skateboards limited in quantity and featuring unique designs are a way for clothing companies to tap into the skateboarding culture and market.
2. Charitable Products - Creating limited edition products with a charitable component not only generates goodwill but can also attract a wider and more socially conscious audience.
3. Transparency in Production - Promoting transparency in the production process can be a way for clothing companies to differentiate themselves from their competitors and attract consumers looking for ethically produced goods.
Industry Implications
1. Fashion - The fashion industry can explore collaborations with other industries, such as skateboarding, to offer unique and limited edition products that appeal to a wider audience.
2. Non-profit - Non-profit organizations can partner with companies to offer limited edition products as a way to raise funds and awareness for their cause.
3. Retail - Increasing transparency in the production process is a way for retailers to attract customers looking for ethically produced goods, and can also set them apart from their competitors.
