Robert Lorincz from Thingiverse created a 3D-printed smartphone holder. Users can adjust the geared device to create the ideal angle for watching videos, navigating the roads while driving, taking photos, and more.
The designer used the ridges of a gear as the main body for his design. The gear sits on a rectangular base engraved with ridge-shaped grooves for users to customize. Smartphone users can prop their devices against the gear or secure the phone within its inner semi-circle for additional support. Thus far, the device is in its conceptual phase. Robert Lorincz came up with the idea as the use of smartphones in our daily tasks increases. This provides users with a hands-free option to use their smartphone features while completing other tasks.
