Short of welding your keychain to the door handle of your vehicle (with a second set next to the ignition), the 2nd Shift Key Plate helps you to keep your car and house keys in as relevant a place as possible. The clever design is a reworking of the standard strike plate in a door latch system, extending it beyond the edge of the hinged panel and well into your interior space.
Instead of having the lip of the metal jamb protector end abruptly with a subtly projecting curve, it has been cut into a much longer and bent shape that takes the jagged silhouette of a key. Wrapping around the inside wall of your front door, it acts as a hook for hanging key rings, lanyards, sunglasses and more. The 2nd Shift Key Plate reminds you of all of your necessary effects, sidestepping the distractions that arise as you approach your exit.
