American luxury car manufacturer Cadillac has launched a new ad campaign titled 'Be Iconic' to promote the company's first all-electric SUV, the '2023 Cadillac Lyriq.'
The new campaign features a 30-second commercial starring American actress Regina King, who we watch cruise in the ultra-luxe vehicle hands-free from a barren desert to Palm Springs. The ad focuses on the car's exciting new attributes -- its sleek front grille, spacious interior, and powerful electric motor -- while King continuously changes up the storyline, resisting the ad's narrator.
The idea here is that, just like how King sets a new direction for the ads script, the automobile maker looks to challenge preconceived notions of what an electric vehicle should be.
“This spirit harnesses Cadillac’s 120-year history, our reputation as an undeniable American Icon, but above all gives the Cadillac a new bold vision as it reinvents its future to become an all-electric brand by the end of the decade," said King, referencing the premise of the new commercial.
