Yunus won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006 for creating the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh almost two decades earlier. The Grameen Bank is a microfinance institution which allows small-scale entrepreneurs to be lent money in order to further their own businesses. Microlending as a form of poverty eradication has become a success story in many respects, and the model has been replicated in countless forms as indicated by these Muhammad Yunus features.
