This list of March 2022 watches trends covers everything from the latest time-telling health wearables to the highest-end luxury timepieces. Many of the innovations in the watches sector this month relate to the sustainability of the materials used and the design of the watch itself.
On the sustainability side, Casio's 'PRO TREK PRW-61Y' is made out of renewable organic sources. Casio replaces this watch's single-use plastic parts with biomass plastic made from corn and castor seeds. This not only gives the timepiece a unique feel and design, but also helps reduce the overall CO2 emissions caused by its production.
One of the most unique watches in terms of its style is the 'Focus' smartwatch designed by Sam Beaney and Ed Burgess. This watch is intentionally simple with a small round display that only shows one icon on-screen at a time. In an effort to rebel against smartwatches that are essentially becoming wearable smartphones, the Focus is as minimalist as possible while still offering helpful features. For example, this timepiece still displays bus times, weather information, and steps walked, it merely delivers these data points in a simplistic way that does not overwhelm or confuse the wearer.
