Impact investing innovations have grown to broaden their network by stressing how the return is also financial (not just all of that social and environmental stuff) --and successfully so. "As the new economy movement grows in communities around the country, it’s imperative that it finds direct ways to integrate its activities with impact investors to best assist in expanding solutions at the local level, especially in historically marginalized communities that may otherwise get passed over," Atlee McFellin wrote in the Triple Pundit's "Impact Investing for the New Economy: People."
For the last two years in the fall, SocialBusiness.org has attended the Social Finance Forum in Toronto and it's a place to feel out the currents of what's going on in terms of impact investing innovations.
