18 Battle-Inspired Fashion Styles

The second installment in the major 3-series book trilogy franchise ‘Catching Fire’ has been unveiled and Hunger Games enthusiasts will be thrilled by the surprising amount of inspiration for fashion styles that the movie has brought to the global market.

For those of you who don't already know, Hunger Games tells the story of the Capitol and its twelve districts of Panem. Every year, the district must send tributes, a boy and a girl, to compete and fight to their death in the annual event called The Hunger Games. The main protagonist Katniss Everdeen volunteers for the Games in place of her younger sister, Prim. The trilogy becomes a glimpse into the protagonist’s world as she is thrown into a world of politics, power and violence.

Catching Fire deals with a more darker side after winning the Games, we see even bolder, even more decadent fashion statements throughout the movie that help to set the dark atmosphere and the inner thoughts of each character. In each of these battle-inspired fashion pieces, we see a glimmer of darkness yet an element of elegance and majesty that emanate from the articles of clothing.
