The cassette tape may be gone, but it is certainly not forgotten as proved by all of these creative cassette creations. Today's culture has created a perfect storm of sorts that makes a cassette tape comeback, or at least a short revival. Hipsters are growing in numbers and love everything that is old -- cassettes included -- and people are becoming more environmentally conscious and are thinking twice before trashing their old electronics.
All of this equals a glut of new art and tech directly created with or inspired by the cassette tape. Everything from paintings of Jimi Hendrix to iPod cases has been created using a cassette and its tape as inspiration.
