From Prepackaged Dirty Sodas to Creamy Coconut-Flavored Sodas

Soda shops popularized dirty soda—a customizable drink made by, at minimum, combining a fizzy base with cream or creamer—and now, creamy canned sodas are emerging, making it easier than ever to enjoy viral flavor combos without the need for mixing.
Some creamer brands were quick to acknowledge consumers’ interest in dirty sodas with made-to-mix flavors that specifically complement sodas. Now, a new wave of canned offerings inspired by dirty sodas is coming to market to save drinkers the hassle of opening, pouring and combining liquids from two separate containers.
At the 2025 National Association of Convenience Stores trade show in Chicago, PepsiCo unveiled two ready-to-drink dirty soda-inspired beverages (Dirty Mountain Dew and Mug Floats Vanilla Howler,) following the success of the Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream flavor.
