The multitude of candy cane creations makes perfect confectionery sense, as many consider the striped sweets to be the holiday treat of choice.

Thanks to the variety of candy creators out there, the white and red sweets have been infused with bacon flavoring, used as material to make shot glasses, sprinkled over various delectable desserts and even modeled into defensive weaponry.

It may be tough to deviate from the original if you’re a peppermint paramour, despite the tempting twists that comprise current candy cane creations. Although, if you consider the fact that the classic candy cane was once simply just a straight stick, it would lack the signature curved design many know and love today had no one decided to stray from the straight and narrow!
