In collaboration with the historic Fukushima-based brewery Niida Honke, Patagonia announced the launch of Yamamori 2025. This natural sake is Japan's first to achieve Regenerative Organic Certified status, representing its commitment to soil health, animal welfare, and social fairness.
Niida Honke manages its rice paddies without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, and approaches the landscape as a "habitat mosaic" that respects the diverse environment, wildlife, biodiversity and workers. In July 2025, the Regenerative Organic Alliance established new guidelines for water paddy rice cultivation, setting a precedent for how rice—a food that feeds half the world—can be grown.
The Patagonia Provisions sake is brewed using 100% ROC Omachi rice grown in Niida Honke’s own fields.
