Singapore-based TWG Tea has announced it will be creating a collection of luxury mooncakes to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival.
Mooncakes are a decadent dessert that originated in Hong Kong. These celebratory sweets are typically consumed during the Mid-Autumn Festival and TWG Tea typically carries them in flavors like blueberry with lotus and matcha with melon. To remix things this season, TWG Tea is releasing a collection of luxury mooncakes that retail for $80 for a set of four. The 'Snowskin Mooncakes' are inspired by the teas TWG is releasing for the festival -- 'Lotus Jade.' For example, two of the flavors are "Lotus Jade Tea infused mousseline, and a white chocolate heart filled with a sweet Nashi pear marmalade" and "nutty praline infused with 1837 Black Tea and an oriental burst of glowing orange marmalade in a white chocolate heart."
