A Robotic McDonald's May be Slowly in the Works with New Location

A robotic McDonald's does not seem far off from reality as the company opens up its first almost entirely automated restaurant with a focus on speed. It is found in Texas' Fort Worth and is a much smaller space than traditional McDonald's locations.

Instead of table service, it functions on-the-go, making sure customers are able to get their food as fast as possible. Orders are placed at the digital kiosks and come out on a conveyor belt to be collected. Customers are also able to order their food through the mobile app before the reach the store. Human staff will still be present and there is a dedicated Order Ahead Lane for quick and short fast-food takeouts.
