The Retroid Pocket 3+ Metallic Edition is a recently-announced special edition of the Retroid Pocket 3+ from GoRetroid. This version features a metal shell and Hall effect analog sticks built-in, whereas the regular RP3+ features a plastic shell and physical analog sticks. The Retroid Pocket 3+ Metallic Edition was shown in a matte black finish in its demonstration video. It is not clear if there will be other colors available.
The Retroid Pocket 3+ features support for Android 11, improved controls with clickable analog sticks with L3/R3 enabled, alternative dome switches or conductive rubber connections for the D-PAD and face buttons and a better build quality and better heat dissipation than the original model, as aluminum frames offer better thermal conductivity than plastic.
