Image-Guided Skin Cancer Treatments

GentleCure Offers a Nonsurgical Alternative to Mohs Surgery

SkinCure Oncology is expanding access to image-guided superficial radiation therapy through GentleCure, a nonsurgical treatment for nonmelanoma skin cancer that has now been used by more than 150,000 patients. Available through approximately 500 physicians nationwide, the treatment uses high-resolution ultrasound to visualize cancer beneath the skin and guide radiation therapy. Patients typically complete a series of short treatment sessions without surgical cutting or potential reconstructive procedures.

The model brings cancer center-level radiation capabilities into local dermatology practices, giving patients another treatment option within familiar outpatient settings. For dermatologists, offering image-guided therapy can broaden available services while keeping more skin cancer care within the practice. SkinCure Oncology also benefits by expanding its network of physician partners as patient awareness of nonsurgical treatments grows. The milestone demonstrates how specialized treatment technologies can move beyond hospital environments and become more widely available through community-based healthcare providers.
