Sony introduced the REON Pocket Pro Plus, a wearable cooling device designed to sit at the base of the neck beneath clothing. The device uses the Peltier effect to cool a metal plate that rests against the skin, targeting areas where blood vessels sit close to the surface. Sony said the latest version delivers up to 20 percent improved cooling performance alongside an additional two-degree Celsius temperature reduction compared to the previous model. The REON Pocket Pro Plus also introduces an updated Adaptive Hold Design neckband for improved fit and stability.
The device includes dual thermo-modules that alternate cooling intensity to maintain consistent performance and battery efficiency. Sony also added a redesigned adjustable air vent and a second-generation Pocket Tag sensor that tracks ambient temperature and humidity separately from the main unit. Smart Cool and Smart Warm modes automatically adjust performance based on environmental conditions and movement.
