The 2022 Puppy Bowl is Appealing to Collectors with Digital Assets

For animal lovers, one of the highlights of the annual Super Bowl is the Puppy Bowl and this year, Animal Planet is also speaking to a subset of this group that's also interested in cryptocurrency.

Ahead of the event, the Discovery, Inc.-owned channel recently launched the first of a series of trading cards in the form of non-fungible tokens so that fans can view and mint them on marketplace Chronicle. This is the first time that the Puppy Bowl will be introducing NFTs and 5,000 free common NFTs have already been dropped to provide users exclusive access to upcoming drops.

There are digital assets to collect from Team Ruff and Team Fluff, including virtual collectibles that are rarer than others. A portion of proceeds from the NFTs will benefit Orange Twins Rescue.
