Proton Pass Keeps your Data Safe From Access by Anyone but You

Proton Pass is a new password manager from the team behind Proton Mail, a secure email service. Proton Pass uses end-to-end encryption (E2EE) to protect your passwords, usernames, web addresses, and notes from anyone, including Proton itself. This means only you can access your data, even if Proton is hacked or compelled by law enforcement.

Proton Pass was developed by the former SimpleLogin team, a tool that lets you send anonymous emails. Proton acquired SimpleLogin in August 2022 and integrated its technology into Proton Pass. You can use Proton Pass to create and store random email aliases that you can use instead of your real address.

Proton Pass is currently available as a beta for Proton’s Lifetime and Visionary users. It works on iOS and Android devices, as well as Chrome and Brave browsers. Proton plans to make Proton Pass free and open source for everyone in the future. It also offers rewards for security researchers who can find vulnerabilities in Proton Pass and its other products.
