Prague's Airport is Getting a Sustainable and High-Tech Update

Prague's airport is undergoing a captivating transformation that promises to provide a unique and sustainable travel experience. Essentially, this project will see large LED screens wrapped around the airport's facade. Images of the city can be projected onto the screens, as well as important information, or other designs that facilitate a more immersive and calming experience for travelers.

More excitingly, these LED screens leverage photovoltaics, which contribute to the airport’s energy supply, making for a more sustainable experience. MVRDV founding partner, Winy Maas, explains that "as you pass through security, you will feel surrounded by the greenness of the Czech landscape—in the ceiling, which shows its green landscapes, and in the courtyards nearby, which host plants that are recognizable from the Czech biotope."
