The Nova is a 7-device charging station concept that combines multi-device power delivery with ambient lighting for bedside or tabletop use. Designed by Parth Amlani, the trapezoidal unit features a sculptural body with two open horizontal bays and a warm copper accent. Its translucent shell houses internal light sources that cast a soft glow when illuminated, allowing Nova to function visually like a lampshade while serving as a power hub. The design aims to replace the usual clutter of individual chargers with a single cohesive object that also contributes warmth to a room at night.
The charging hardware beneath the sculptural form supports up to seven devices at once. Four of the pads deliver 15 W wireless charging for phones, one pad provides 5 W wireless power for earbuds, and a dedicated 3 W puck is designed for watches. Two retractable USB-C cables rated at 15 W each accommodate wired devices that need a physical connection. The concept includes manufacturing refinements such as injection-molding-ready geometry, a snap-fit structure, and a removable back panel for servicing.

The Nova Powers Seven Devices and Glows Like a Lamp
Trend Themes
-
Converged Charging and Ambient Lighting — A combined power hub and lamp form factor opens room for devices that seamlessly blend utility with mood-setting illumination.
-
Multi-device Power Consolidation — Centralizing up to seven power outputs into a single, sculptural unit reduces cable clutter and reframes chargers as design-forward household objects.
-
Serviceable Injection-mold Design — Designs optimized for snap-fit injection-mold geometry and removable panels create new possibilities for repairability, modular upgrades, and aftermarket customization.
Industry Implications
-
Consumer Electronics — Integrated charging-lamp hybrids could redefine accessory roadmaps by prioritizing multi-protocol power delivery and aesthetic differentiation.
-
Hospitality and Interior Design — Bedside and tabletop lighting that doubles as a communal charging station presents opportunities to enhance guest experience through functional decor.
-
Manufacturing and Aftermarket Service — Products engineered for injection-mold efficiency and easy servicing could shift business models toward modular spare parts, refurbishment, and longer product lifecycles.
