The Mini Market Pop-Up by FREITAG is bringing a playful dose of Zurich creativity to Tokyo this August. From August 8-24, the upcycling pioneers will take over the 5th floor of Dover Street Market Ginza with a limited-time installation inspired by a fruit stand. Dubbed the FREITAG Mini Market, the scenography features a reused shelving system and an array of one-of-a-kind bags and backpacks crafted from repurposed truck tarps -- each piece entirely unique in color, cut, and character.
The pop-up blends FREITAG’s ethos of sustainability and functional design with Dover Street Market’s celebrated "beautiful chaos," uniting two cult brands that value individuality and concept-driven retail experiences. The space is designed by the FREITAG lab and stays open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
FREITAG’s Mini Market Pop-Up reinforces its position as a leader in circular fashion while tapping into Tokyo’s influential streetwear scene. By partnering with Dover Street Market, the brand gains prime visibility among trend-conscious consumers and design enthusiasts in Japan’s luxury-meets-subculture capital.
