McDonald’s and Pokémon are joining forces once again to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the anime trading card franchise with a special meal for fans to pick up. The partnership will include a Happy Meal slated to arrive to coincide with Pokémon Day on February 27, 2026 and will offer diners the usual main course sandwich or McNuggets alongside a few special add-ins. This includes Pokémon cards in the form of four-card booster packs that highlight some of the original characters from the original lineup.
The Happy Meal as part of the McDonald’s and Pokémon partnership will also put the anime franchise's signature branding in the spotlight alongside nostalgic imagery that Millennials and avid collectors alike will recall from the 90s-era craze.
