Filippo Membretti and Enrico Pellizzoni Design the LUME Light

Filippo Membretti designs the new LUME table light for Enrico Pellizzoni and it was unveiled during Milan Design Week this year. It highlights a minimal design language with a sophisticated angle through its blend of stitched leatherwork and perforated detail. This frames the LED light that is a linear structure complete with a milky white glass diffuser. It results in a soft light that plays with light and shadow.

The leather lampshade is inspired by the color of the light that shines through, usually in its warmer-tanned leather version. The shape features designs that are inspired by a nautical light signal complete with a thin lampshade and a vintage microphone. The lamp shade itself is also designed to slide off with alterations.
