Fortnite Adds Support for IOS with Xbox Cloud Gaming Beta

Epic Games has partnered with Micrsoft to bring Fortnite back to IOS device. Apple devices will be able to play Fortnite starting May 5, 2022, on the ‘Xbox Cloud Gaming Service,’ through a supported web browser on IOS, Android, tablets and PCs.

Fortnite is not on the Apple App Store due to legal restrictions. Epic Games had forgone App Store policy by allowing Fortnite players to pay Epic directly for digital purchases, which bypasses Apple’s mandatory 30% cut on the platform.

Those who want to play Fortnite only need to make a Microsoft account and visit the Xbox website to gain access. From there, players can sign up for an Epic Games account to drop into the game.
