FR-EE & Foster + Partners Transform Flights to Mexico City

For anyone hopping on flights to Mexico City in the future, there's a good chance you will be impressed by the new airport design conceived by FR-EE and Foster and Partners architecture firms.

The new design takes inspiration from a plane itself, and is made up of one continuous structure. Instead of having breaks in the various areas, the roof is connected creating an X-like shape when viewed from above. As DesignBoom puts it, the "entire terminal is enclosed within a continuous lightweight grid shell, embracing walls and roof in a single, flowing form, evocative of flight."
