The Deliveroo drone delivery service is being launched by the brand in Dublin, Ireland as part of the brand's initiative to expand offerings and build excitement surrounding the technology. The drone delivery is being made possible thanks to a partnership with Manna and will see customers within a three kilometer radius of Blanchardtown placing orders from local eateries receiving their order via the sky. The drone delivery service is reported to drastically reduce wait times and emissions thanks to its ability to travel up to 80km/h without having to worry about traffic.
Chief Business Officer Carlo Mocci spoke on the Deliveroo drone delivery launch saying, "Our mission is to bring local neighbourhood favourites to as many people’s doors as possible, and constantly raise the bar on the experience and service we provide – so I’m thrilled to launch drone deliveries in Dublin today."
